Dr. Narayan Bahadur Shrestha is a senior veterinarian and agriculture consultant with over 30 years of experience in livestock and veterinary development. He currently serves as Program Director at Nepal Farmers Advisory Council and Senior Consultant at Nepal Horizon International Pvt. Ltd., where he leads initiatives in silage production, livestock feed research, market development, and agribusiness support. Dr. Shrestha holds a BVSc & AH from IAAS Rampur, an MSc in Sustainable Development from Sikkim Manipal University, and an MSc in Dairy Science from Global Open University, Nagaland. He has received various national and international trainings, including from JICA in Japan, in areas like animal nutrition, pasture management, AI, and gender/PRA for development. He has held key government positions such as Livestock Development Officer, Senior LDO, and Director of Province Dairy Development Board (Bagmati), with expertise in livestock program planning, monitoring, and dairy sector development.
